Bistro Le Clochard (Ghisteje B.V.)

Located in the historic Rif Fort at the Otrabanda side of Willemstad, you will find Bistro le Clochard. The rich and varied menu of this cozy restaurant includes an extensive array of dishes, varying from truly Swiss - fondue and raclette - to a mixture of Swiss and French. Drawing from its tropical surroundings, Bistro le Clochard also offers a number of typical Caribbean ingredients. On our wine list - the most elaborate one on the island - you will certainly find the right wine to accompany your lunch or dinner.
The restaurant was named after the vagrants- clochards in French-who inhabited the fortress' vaulted bunkers back in the 1970s. Anno 2008 the vagrants have found their refuge elsewhere and Bistro le Clochard has developed into an award-winning gastronomic establishment and is part of the stylish Rif Fort tourist center.

Mooi uitzicht op de haven en lekker eten! Service is prima.

Fantastisch zitten op het terras aan het water met uitkijk op de mooie gevels aan de overkant van de pontjesbrug. Het eten ziet er mooi uit, en is redelijk tot goed. Enig nadeel van de Clochard is de enorme kostenpost die het eten oplevert. Want zeg nu zelf: 46$ voor een hoofdgerecht exl. service en taxes is hopi veel geld.
